Keeping it real!

I'm afraid I'm not superhuman.

It's not always blue skies and cream teas
and days out, and fun, fun, fun here...

Most of the time it's what it says on the tin -
Everyday Life On A Shoestring!
Keeping the family healthily fed (mushrooms on toast if you're wondering),

and warmly clothed,
and in the right place at the right time, along with going to work, and attending to friends and extended family, all takes time.  I wouldn't have it any other way, but sometimes something has to give.  This week is a week full of even more everyday life than normal, so the blog is going to be ignored until later in the week, in the interests of maintaining balance!

I'll be back with something more exciting soon!

Are you like me; do you forget that you're not superhuman sometimes or are you good at knowing when you've got too much on your plate?!

  1. I'm pretty good about keeping things in balance. Or maybe I should say that I'm pretty good about not over extending myself. However, I'm not sure that all my activities are in balance. That's one I'm still working on.

    See you next week.

  2. Every so often I have to re-evaluate how I'm spending my time, and adjust my activities accordingly. And sometimes, it's just a matter of too much going on in one week. Either way, I have to remain flexible so I can keep my top priorities attended to. You're a smart cookie to realize you need to make room in your life for the week. Have a great week.

  3. I used to believe I could do anything even if it meant sacrificing my needed sleep. Getting older, my body tends to tell me when I've had enough and refused to live without sleep.

  4. I always seem to take on too much and then berate myself for not being able to do it all!
On a positive note though your post has remineded me how nice mushrooms on toast are - i might have that for my lunch today!

  5. Good on you for taking time out when you need it - we'll still be here :) I didn't turn my laptop at all last weekend, so ignored my blog for that time, and it made me come back to everything with a fresh perspective :)
